School is back in session and with that comes a whole lot of stress you could forget during the summer. In between study breaks, why not reward yourself by attending one of our picks for this weeks Can't Miss Concerts? Whether you need to unwind to the peaceful sounds of Feist or release your frustrations by rocking out with Sheer Mag, there's something for everyone from September 21 to 27.

Vancouver musician/producer Jay Arner dropped his latest record Jay II last summer through Mint Records, and has been touring the world in support of it ever since. Having returned from a stint in Japan earlier this summer, Arner's staying in the country for this week's stretch of shows featuring stops out east in Halifax and Fredericton, as well as Ottawa.

Austra
 
Before they take their danceable live show across the pond to Europe next month, Austra will wrap up their current Canadian tour with a handful of shows in central and western Canada. Audiences in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton and Calgary can expect to hear live renditions from the quartet's latest release, Future Politics.

We saw the triumphant return of Leslie Feist earlier this year in the form of her Polaris shortlisted Pleasure, and now the indie darling will be taking those songs on the road. After playing Toronto's Massey Hall, Feist will return to her hometown of Calgary for an intimate performance at Bella Concert Hall.

Future Islands
 
Baltimore's Future Islands have been on the road since the release of their fifth record The Far Field back in April. Prior to spending the next two months overseas touring Europe, the trio will continue their current stretch of North American dates with back-to-back performances at Vancouver's Vogue Theatre. Their stellar live show is one that west-coasters won't want to miss.

Allan Rayman
 
Toronto native Allan Rayman blended a mixture of rock, funk, soul and hip-hop to create his sophomore album Roadhouse 01. The singer will share his mysterious persona with crowds in Vancouver and Victoria before continuing his North American tour into December.

Red Bull Music Academy
 
After holding last year's edition of Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal, the festival will return to the city once more from Thursday (September 21) to Sunday (September 24). Each of the series' immersive events will bring attention to a variety of musical stylings and performers such as Pierre Kwenders, Le1f, Orphx and Charlotte Day Wilson.

Roy Woods
 
Young Ontario rapper Roy Woods generated hype for his sophomore album Say Less back in August at the eighth annual OVO Fest. While a release date has yet to be announced for the OVO protégé's second LP, fans out west can get a taste of what's to come with live performances in Calgary and Edmonton this Thursday (September 21) and Saturday (September 23), respectively.

Sheer Mag
 
Philly rockers Sheer Mag have been on the road in support of their long awaited, rowdy debut record Need to Feel Your Love since it dropped back in July. Canadians will once more be treated to a high-energy performance chock full of crunchy riffs when the five-piece play Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on Monday (September 25).
