Earlier this week, information about Father John Misty's upcoming fourth album, God's Favorite Customer, leaked thanks to some Reddit sleuths. Two new songs officially dropped earlier today, but that's not all. Thanks to another leak, the entire album found its way online shortly thereafter.
According to Stereogum, the album was briefly made available to stream on iTunes New Zealand earlier today. It has since been taken down.
Father John Misty took to Facebook to express his frustration with the leak, changing his page's profile photo to the album artwork adorned with the phrase "When your album leaks a month early." Fittingly, the cover art finds the singer with an exasperated look on his face.
God's Favorite Customer officially arrives June 1 on Sub Pop.
