Hamilton-born, Montreal-based DJ/producer Jesse Morrison has been making music in his adopted home under monikers like Ana+one and as one half of duo Yes Ma'am over the last decade, but the latest vehicle transporting his penchant for "lush minimalism" and "tech housey soundscapes" goes by the name Fake_Electronics.

The project allows him to explore his passion for modular synths, and he treated last year's MUTEK crowd to a live interpretation of that work. MUTEK is ready to return to Montreal from June 1 to 5, and in anticipation of the upcoming 2016 festival, Exclaim! is giving you an opportunity to relive Fake_Electronics' set from last year.

The festival has already rolled out its initial lineup for 2016, with more performers slated to be announced soon. Fake_Electronics has yet to be named on that list, but here's hoping attendees will get another shot to catch his work live.

For now, listen to his entire set from MUTEK 2015. It was recorded on May 28 at Musée d'art Contemporain de Montréal, with sound mastering provided by LANDR. Give it a spin below.
