Just as Failure have begun their reunion tour, the Los Angeles alt-rock survivors have "Come Crashing" down with a track of the same name. Their first brand new song in over 16 years, the track is available to hear now.
A subtle fuzz wraps itself around saddened but sparkly guitar chords in the intro, with Ken Andrews lowly crooning about a "particle left from the past" that just keeps swooping into one's life. As the track unfolds, the sonics grow a little stronger, the drums enter fully formed and hammered, but "Come Crashing" still navigates heart-tugging terrain.
The track is available now on Bandcamp, but will also be up for grabs at the merch table on a tour EP that also includes live takes of "Let It Drip," "Frogs," Sergeant Politeness" and "Heliotropic."
Failure play Vancouver's Rickshaw Theatre on Saturday (May 17), with a two-night stand at Toronto's Mod Club set for May 26 and 27. You can see all their upcoming tour dates here.
