The soundtrack for Stanley Kubrick's final film Eyes Wide Shut is being treated to its first-ever vinyl edition. The record goes on sale this Wednesday (November 25) through Death Waltz Recording Company, with shipments expected to arrive sometime in January.
"Fully approved" by the 1999 thriller's stars Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, as well as the Kubrick Estate, the 180-gram double LP has been mastered exclusively for vinyl.
The soundtrack contains music by George Ligeti, Dmitri Shostakovich, Chris Isaak, the Victor Silvester Orchestra, the Oscar Peterson Trio, Roy Gerson, Peter Luges Orchestra, Brad Mehldau and Franz Liszt, as well as four original pieces by composer Jocelyn Pook, recorded especially for the film.
Packaged in a "bespoke die-cut sleeve," the Stoughton Press-printed artwork was created by Alan Hynes.
