Exclaim! TV's <i>Garageland</i> Takes On Tim Barry, Devil in Me and the Swellers

It's that time of the week again. Gear up for a stellar three-way with Devil in Me, Tim Barry and the Swellers in Exclaim! TV's Garageland. As usual, we bring you interesting interviews and live performances with that much-needed oomph that you've come to know and love.

Getting things crackin' are Portugal's Devil in Me, who were on the road in Canada as a part of the Exclaim!-sponsored Through the Noise Tour, playing alongside such stalwarts like Comeback Kid and Madball. Get some insight into how it is to be a Portuguese band with international aspirations, butt tattoos and more.

Mainstream rock has a boss in Bruce Springsteen. In punk rock and hardcore, we have Mr. Tim Barry. The legendary and inspirational ex-frontman of the renowned institution that was Avail has been taking his acoustic solo material on the road for years now. Barry always has interesting and insightful things to say and Garageland host Sam Sutherland caught up with him prior to his opening performance for the Gaslight Anthem.

Michigan's the Swellers recently filled Sneaky Dee's in Toronto with warm, energetic and catchy punk rock. The band discuss touring with variety of different-sounding bands (including Paramore) and not compromising to appeal to larger labels, as well as where they are coming from musically and how it fits into the current state of affairs.
