There's an empty space on that KALLAX shelf and it's absolutely begging for a new record. This holiday season, get the music-lover on your list some new vinyl, from deluxe anniversary reissues to the year's best new releases. Here are some of the best vinyl and box sets of 2024.

Green Day
American Idiot 20th-anniversary deluxe edition

Green Day's genre-defining punk rock masterpiece gets the super-deluxe treatment, with B-sides, demos, concert recordings and a documentary joining the original album. The anniversary celebrations also include a 2LP red and black splatter vinyl edition, and apparel from the 20th-anniversary merch line.

Live from Austin, TX series

Pulled from some of the finest performances from the Austin City Limits TV show, New West Records has a fresh batch of titles in their Live from Austin, TX series now on wax. A quartet of outlaw country legends leads the way. First up is Waylon Jennings's 1984 appearance on translucent silver and gold marbled wax. Merle Haggard's 1985 performance now comes on translucent blue and black marbled vinyl. The man, the myth, the legend Johnny Cash's 1987 set is on a translucent green platter with black swirls, and Willie Nelson's 1990 appearances comes on two "Baby Blue Eyes Crying" LPs. Along with these legends are recordings from influential guitarist Roy Buchanan on opaque royal blue and English folk rock pioneer Richard Thompson on opaque lime vinyl.

This new limited edition reissue adds two remixes and a 64-page book with new liner notes from Sacha Jenkins, spreading the LP across six 7-inch records. The whole thing is housed in a gorgeous slipcase with a gold printing of the record's iconic cover.

Oasis
Definitely Maybe 30th-anniversary edition

Oasis's classic debut, now with many recordings from the first two aborted recording sessions for the album. An extra treat: a demo version of Japanese-only bonus track "Sad Song" featuring Liam Gallagher on vocals. Definitely maybe a great gift for the Britpop lover in your life.
