Ex-Cuff the Duke Member Dale Murray Readies New Solo Album

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 29, 2012

Dale Murray has been busy with alt-country act Cuff the Duke the last few years, having performed with the band on their last three albums, but it's been seven years since the musician delivered his solo debut Brighter Lives, Darker Side. Having wrapped up his tenure with Cuff the Duke last August, Murray is now ready to step back into the spotlight with his next solo effort, Dream Mountain Dream.

The record arrives on March 27. Recorded in Murray's home in Port Howe, NS, the ten-song set is said to dabble in the songwriter's pop influences, including Emit Rhodes, George Harrison and Brian Wilson. You can stream and/or download the first single "The Wind Is Trying To Kill Me" down below.

Murray will hold his record release party for Dream Mountain Dream on March 25 at the Carleton in Halifax, but will also be playing some shows around the Maritimes shortly after. You can check the schedule down below.
