Everyone Everywhere

Everyone Everywhere

For anyone who ever fell in love with the unrestrained fun and unchecked emotion of early records by the Promise Ring, Braid and the Get Up Kids, you are going to love this record. While their debut EP, A Lot of Weird People Standing Around, hinted at the strong songwriting and musicianship these Philadelphia, PA-based dudes were capable of, Everyone Everywhere is the full-on delivery of everything their early material promised. Songs like "Music Work Paper Work" build themselves up from technically unique musical passages without sacrificing the airy, natural sound of the vocal melodies. While Everyone Everywhere possess the tap-happy sensibility of early Braid, they never sacrifice a song or a hook at the alter of guitar heroics ― every little hammer-on and time signature-shifting trick is in the service of great songs.
