Blind River, ON-based singer-songwriter Evan Redsky spent five years on the road with Single Mothers, but he's branched out from the band with his debut solo effort.
His new EP Danny Wolfe hears Redsky embracing his Indigenous "storytelling roots," taking the EP's name and inspiration from the notorious founding member of the Indian Posse. Danny Wolfe died in 2010, following a prison brawl at Saskatchewan Penitentiary.
Redsky adds further depth to the set of songs, following up the title track, with additional odes to the characters of "Kala-Ann" and "The Kid."
The three-song record was produced by John Dinsmore at Lincoln County Social Club and mastered by Gavin Gardner at Lacquer Channel. It features additional musical contributions from Michael Bright, Jeremy Knibbs, Gary Rugala, Franklyn Wyles and Kelly Prescott.
Danny Wolfe is officially out on February 2, but you can give it an early listen below.
