Enter Shikari have been relentlessly exploring the possibilities of music for over a decade and continue to blend experimental outputs of rock, hardcore and electronic music into an enriching sonic phenomenon, most recently on 2017 LP The Spark. Last October, the lads stopped by our Toronto office, ahead of an intimate show at Hard Luck Bar, to perform an intimate stripped-down session of material for Exclaim! TV's No Future.
"The Spark is a new connection, a new beginning. It can be short and insignificant, but it can create something so significant. The spark is that light at the end of the tunnel — when everything seems to be falling apart, but you're able to see some sort of path out of the dark," frontman Rou Reynolds previously said in regards to their latest release, from which they played two songs: lead single "Live Outside" and "Rabble Rouser." They also rewound to 2016 and reworked stand-alone single "Red Shift."
Reynolds and company will be making their way through Canada once more, with shows in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. London, ON's Single Mothers and fellow UK group Milk Teeth will perform as supporting acts.
You can see the upcoming shows below, but whether you will be in attendance or not, you can watch Enter Shikari's acoustic performance on No Future in the players underneath.
