Alphabet Arm, the design studio responsible for designing a logo for Counting Crows back in 2005, has accused pop punk band Cute Is What We Aim For of copying their design.

At the beginning of last year, Cute Is What We Aim For's management contacted us about doing some merch designs for the band. They informed us the band liked our work, namely a design we did for Counting Crows back in 2004 or 2005. After some back and forth over pricing we were informed they were going to concentrate on the merch design in-house and contact us later. We never heard anything back. Just this morning we came across the cover of their new album coincidence? You decide.
The logos are strikingly similar, as anyone can see with a quick glance. Alphabet Arm has not announced whether it plans to pursue legal action against Cute Is What We Aim For, though it's pretty obvious the studio would have a tight case.
