News broke over the weekend that Netflix would be pulling the plug on The Punisher and Jessica Jones, and Eminem has finally processed the decision and taken to Twitter to voice his disappointment.
The rapper composed a not-very-subtle tweet directed at the streaming service, telling them (in all caps): "REGARDING YOUR CANCELLATION OF THE PUNISHER, YOU ARE BLOWING IT!!"
Em might have a stronger emotional connection to the Marvel universe than others, having appeared as a character in The Punisher comics back in 2009. He also recently contributed a track to Marvel's Venom flick.
Nevertheless, followers are having some fun with the melodramatic response to the show's cancellation. See some of the replies below.
The Punisher and Jessica Jones aren't the only Marvel victims at Netflix HQ — in fact, they were the last Marvel shows standing. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders and Daredevil were all recently cut off, as well.
In a statement to Deadline, Netflix reps said, "We are grateful to Marvel for five years of our fruitful partnership and thank the passionate fans who have followed these series from the beginning."
The Punisher's second season recently arrived on Netflix. It will not return for a third season.
