Elton John To Visit Ontario On Tour

Sir Elton has announced plans to perform in two lucky Ontario cities during his greatest hits tour - but they're not the ones you're thinking of. Sudbury, yes, Sudbury will host the Rocket Man on March 2, and Kitchener will be reminded that "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" on March 3, even though it's a Monday.

Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday (February 1), at not so modestly prices starting from $87.50 up to $129.50, but Canadian fans will have to pony up the dough if they want their dose of Elton - there will be no other Canadian dates according to tour promoters Live Nation.

Sudbury Arena manager Ray Mensour expressed his anticipation in a statement made on Monday. "This will indeed be the biggest concert in Sudbury's history. This concert is monumental and will generate tremendous excitement for everyone in our city."

Likewise for the thrilled event manager of the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Complex, Kim Kugler, who said, "In the 58 years of the auditorium's history, this is the most renowned artist we have ever had on our stage."

These Ontario concert dates are part of Elton's 2008 Tour: Rocket Man - Number Ones.
