Call us pessimists, but we normally take the term "indefinite hiatus" as meaning "breaking up for eternity," so we were pretty gutted when beloved UK post-punks Electrelane dropped the H-bomb in 2007, shortly after the release of their fourth album No Shouts No Calls. Now, we're surprised and pleased to announce that the band will be returning for some shows this summer.

Before anyone calls it a full-fledged reunion, though, we should clarify that the band haven't made any promises other than the odd UK show this summer. They announced their return with the following post on their Facebook page:

This summer we're going to play some festivals, including Field Day in London, and a few gigs. We're still confirming everything, so will be announcing more dates soon. We're really excited to be playing together again after more than three years, and are just sorry that we won't be able to make it to the US this time. At the moment our plan is just to play live this summer, so we hope to see you!

If they have another change of heart and decide to come to North America, we will be sure to let you know. In the meantime, they also have a Twitter account so you can pester them to come play your hometown on there.
