Eddie Vedder has been in the biz for two decades, but he doesn't seem to be slowing down one bit. In addition to celebrating Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary with reissues and a documentary, the singer recently announced a solo album and DVD. Soon after Ukulele Songs arrives in stores on May 31 via Universal, Vedder will embark upon a U.S. solo tour.
There are 17 dates in total, running for a full month, from mid-June to mid-July. Unfortunately, there are no Canadian dates. Still, there are plenty in the northern U.S., so shows in NYC, Detroit and Seattle are only a few hours drive for many Canadians. And if you've been itching to catch the Pearl Jam singer in a more intimate performance, it will be well worth the trip. Also, Swell Season folk singer Glen Hansard will open.
And, hey, if you can't make it out to one of the shows, you could always pick up the upcoming Water on the Road DVD and pretend like you were there.
