The spotlight's been back on Odd Future's Earl Sweatshirt since his return to Los Angeles after a stint at boarding school in Samoa. He made his homecoming known on Twitter, giving fans a clip of a new song and then we got to hear him on the new track "Oldie" earlier this week. Well, now Earl's hitting the press circuit and appeared for his first interview since his return on Hot 97.
His Odd Future cohorts Tyler, the Creator and Taco are also present, though Tyler gets a time-out of sorts for sabotaging Earl's answers, while Taco repeatedly reminds us that "I don't do shit." Earl also defends his mom's choice to send him away, explaining that it wasn't because she heard his music but because he "was fucking up, like, outside of music."
It's not the most insightful conversation, but the interview is a pretty amusing watch as the Odd Future gang pause plenty of times to make fun of each other and the interviewer. Watch it below.
UPDATE: Down below, you can also watch Odd Future's new Lance Bangs-directed music video for "Oldie." The track appears on the group's new OF Tape Vol. 2, which was released today (March 20) on Odd Future Records.
