Drive-By Truckers only released their most recent album, The Big To-Do, back in March, but the fiery southern rockers are already preparing the follow-up. Entitled Go-Go Boots, it's due to hit shelves on February 15 via ATO.
Before the album drops, the band will be unveiling songs via the "Go-Go Boots Episodes." These are a series of short films about the new record directed by Jason Thrasher and Patterson Hood. If you click on the embedded video near to the bottom of this page, you can see a black-and-white performance clip for the grimy country rocker "Used to Be a Cop."
The song will be released on ten-inch vinyl with the track "The Thanksgiving Filter" as part of the the Record Store Day festivities for Black Friday in the U.S.
There are currently no other details about the album, but expect more songs and details to be unveiled in upcoming episodes of the webseries. Before the album drops, the band will be hitting the road for a European tour plus a handful of U.S. dates.
