Originally from Virginia, MC Doujah Raze has been gradually building a name within the New York scene from where he is currently based and beyond. Past Presence Features, as its name implies, is a compilation of choice cuts and featured guest appearances and definitely has the material to advance this process. Doujah Raze’s raspy voice rides confidently over beats of all types. He isn’t fazed either by sharing the booth with the likes of veterans such as O.C., A.G. or Sean Price, or production from up and comers like Kev Brown. Added to all of this, Doujah Raze shines on his own nailing the addiction concept on "Give It Up” atop a jazzy, psychedelic soundscape. Obviously aware of his strengths and limitations, on the strength of this release Doujah Raze deserves to continue to spread the word and serve notice for his upcoming material.
