So far in 2011, Dom have continued to ride the wave of hype that followed last year's Sun Bronzed Greek Gods EP. Hot on the heels of their collaborative single with Cults, the cheeky indie rockers have unveiled a new EP called Family of Love, due out August 9 via Astralwerks.
Unlike the prior lo-fi EP, this one was recorded in a professional studio. It was helmed by production whiz Nicolas Vernhes, who has previously worked with Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Dirty Projectors and many more.
A press release reports [via Pitchfork] that Family of Love features a "dial tone solo" plus a Fun Machine organ. Influences apparently include Daft Punk and Mariah Carey. See the five-song tracklist below.
The Worcester, MA-based quartet have a number of festival dates coming up this summer, but no Canadian appearances. See the schedule here.
Family of Love:
1. "Telephone"
2. "Family of Love"
3. "Damn"
4. "Happy Birthday"
5. "Some Boys"
