Airick Woodhead's Montreal-based electronic project Doldrums have announced plans for the follow-up to 2013's debut Lesser Evil. Titled The Air Conditioned Nightmare, the new full-length is slated to arrive on April 7 through their new label home Sub Pop.
In a statement about the themes on the new record, Woodhead said:
Conflict is at the heart of this album. There's a lot of paranoid sentiment and Dystopian imagery in there. The threat of a mundane reality ties it together, as does an obsession with plasticity. Songs come from specific feelings or images. Anxiety is my default state.
