The American rapper says she got it from Postmates

Controversial music figure Doja Cat has contracted COVID-19 after mocking people's fear of it earlier in the pandemic.

Speaking with Capital XTRA over the weekend, the rapper admitted to developing symptoms after possibly being infected by a Postmates worker.

"I got COVID. Honestly, I don't know how this happens but I guess I ordered something off of Postmates, and I don't know how I got it but I got it," she said in the interview. "I'm okay now, it was a four-day symptom freakout, but I'm fine now."

Previously, Doja had gone on Instagram Live to rant about people's concerns for the dangers of COVID-19, suggesting that it's no worse than the flu and something that could be managed with over-the-counter cough suppressants.

"Bitch, I'm not scared of a coronavirus or the motherfucking beer version of that shit," she had previously said. "I'm gonna get corona and then I'm gonna get a Corona, cos I don't give a fuck about corona, bitch. It's a flu! I'm not scared. Y'all are pussy, period."

She continued. "You just take some Mucinex and drink water and tea and sleep — that's all you gotta do. Y'all are so scared of some damn corona. Y'all are so scared of corona that I need a Corona."

Watch the recent interview below, where you'll also find a clip from back in March of the rapper downplaying the seriousness of COVID-19.
