Currently Berlin-based Canadian Digits (aka Alt Altman), who's also half of Toronto's Bad Passion, releases Where Do You Belong?, a seven-track EP of his inimitable electronic pop sound. Versions of a few tracks, such as the excellent "So Cold" ― can't resist those handclaps! ― have been released before as free downloads or as part of his recent Death & Desire mixtape, but the majority of the tracks are available for the first time. The melancholia of the lyrics, especially the yearning tone in songs such as "Where Do You Belong?," are contrasted by the upbeat tempos and sweetness of the melodies, his pop electronica sound infused with elements of disco, R&B and rock that work equally well to move to or sit down and reflect on. Where Do You Belong? is available to buy as a download, but Altman is also offering the EP for free if you've bought someone else's album in the last two months.
