Delorean are taking some time off from touring in light of a kidnapping incident in Mexico, so it's great to see the band in action in the new video for Apar single "Unhold."
It may not be a concert stage, but the Barcelona-based dance-pop crew spend their on-screen time bouncing to the beat on an all-white soundstage, while guest vocalist Caroline Polachek of Chairlift navigates the maze-like stone backdrop of Saugerties, NY's Opus 40 Sculpture park. Director Eric Epstein throws some wavy visual effects into the mix, making for a slightly disorienting experience.
"The track has this sway to it that I thought could be complimented by the visuals," Epstein told Nowness. "And to me the lyrics evoke misunderstanding and clashing perspectives, which seemed somewhat fitting for the approach we took."
