The Dead Weather are sharing a series of instructional videos about instrumental technique. The latest of these highlights the bass playing of Jack Lawrence (also of the Raconteurs and City and Colour), but even those who don't play bass will want to check out the clip, since it features a performance of a new song.
Following some technical (and slightly comedic) bass talk from Lawrence, the rest of the band emerge to perform the Dodge and Burn track "Mile Makers." As with the other recent performance videos we've seen from the group, there is a big pile of tires, some stationary figures wearing bodysuits, and a grimy black-and-white visual style. The song, meanwhile, is also very typical of the Dead Weather in that it's a snarling garage rock scorcher.

Dodge and Burn lands on September 25 through Third Man Records.
