Craft beer maker the Phillips Brewing Company generally pumps out tasty suds at its headquarters in Victoria, BC, but this summer the brewery will also be pumping up the volume during the parking lot-set Phillips Backyard Weekender, with special guests De La Soul, Buck 65, the Cat Empire and more.

The two-day open-air concert series takes place July 19 and 20, with a press release noting that the Phillips downtown parking lot will transform "into an outdoor music-super-party" for the weekend. The first night will be headlined by Australian ska-and-jazz dabblers the Cat Empire, and also features performances from SoCal reggae lovers the Dirty Heads and Santa Cruz, CA's the Expendables.

The next night is more hip-hop heavy, with Native Tongues titans De La Soul and Canadian MC Buck 65 set to hit the stage.

Tickets went on sale earlier this morning (May 3) with a two-day pass going for $60, and one-day tickets for either night running at $35. You can find out more info here.

Chances are, once inside, you can sip samples of Phillips brews like the Longboat Chocolate Porter, Slipstream Cream Ale, or the absolutely destructive Amnesiac Double IPA.

In the meantime, you can check out De La Soul's recent digital comeback single "Get Away (feat. the Spirit of the Wu)" in the player down below.
