Dave Mustaine Says He Pissed on the Floor of a White House Bathroom: "I Had to Do It"

The "Metal Tour of the Year" continues to elicit wild stage banter from Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine. After deeming COVID-19 mask mandates to be "tyranny" on the trek's first leg last year, he has now upped the ante with an even crazier claim: he once relieved himself on the floor of a White House bathroom.

Fan-shot footage below from Megadeth's Sunday evening (April 10) performance in Tucson, AZ, shows MegaDave launching into his presidential stream story during a break between songs.

After showing the fans some appreciation, Mustaine shares [via Blabbermouth], "I want you guys to know that I've lived through a lot of different eras in the United States and seen different things, and one thing that makes me the most proud of everything here in our country is you guys, the way that you are handling yourselves and the way that … as the metal community … There's a lot of people that go out there and they say things and they totally embarrass themselves. And I want you guys to know how proud I am to represent you."

As seen above, Mustaine and his Megadeth bandmates of the period were featured in public service announcements for Rock the Vote in the early '90s, after the organization — founded by Virgin Records America co-chairman Jeff Ayeroff — struck a partnership with MTV. It's believed that the band's involvement led Mustaine to visit the White House in 1992.

"When I went up to the White House, I was so proud to be able to go up there and say, 'Fuck you. You think we're stupid? We are not stupid,'" the frontman reflected. "By the way, when I went into the White House, I went into the royal — whatever the fuck it's called — White House bathroom, and I peed on the floor. I had to. I had to."

In a 2019 appearance on Ron Keel's Streets Of Rock 'N' Roll radio show, Mustaine shared of his politics, "I've got this reputation that I'm a right-winger. Well, check my voting record to see that I've voted Democrat and Republican. And it's just a shame that people are trying to destroy people's careers because of a vote."

It's almost like it's a reputation one would earn by spouting conspiratorial birtherism beliefs, or accusing President Obama of "staging" mass shootings to turn the US into "Nazi America."

Megadeth's forthcoming 16th album, presently titled The Sick, the Dying and the Dead, will follow 2016's Pisstopia Dystopia.
