Darkstar Revisit 'News from Nowhere' with Remix EPs Featuring Zomby, Motor City Drum Ensemble

London trio Darkstar split their fans down the middle with their 2013 Warp debut News from Nowhere, abandoning their dubstep-leaning dance music for menacing dark wave and weirdo pop. Now, however, they're revisiting the material on two remix EPs.

The EPs, called 01484 and HD7, will see the group treating their tracks to remixes, including work from Motor City Drum Ensemble on the first and Zomby on the second.

In a statement, the band explained the release titles, saying, "01484 and HD7 are the dial code and postal code of Huddersfield and its surrounding areas. We chose to use them on the 12-inches as the remixes are an extension of the record News from Nowhere, which was recorded in Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire."

01484 will be released on October 15 via Warp, and you can hear Motor City Drum Ensemble's shapeshifting seven-minute take on "A Day's Pay for a Day's Work" below. Stay tuned for more info on HD7.
