Featuring members of Moneen and Alexisonfire, Ontario punk troupe Cunter have drawn much attention, both for their semi-shocking band name and for their status as somewhat of a supergroup. Thankfully, in addition to drawing headlines, they also like to record and release music. Following 2011's 20 LP, they've announced a new release.
In keeping with the numerical naming system, the new record is called 27, and features seven new tracks from the band. That makes a total of 27 released songs so far, hence the title.
According to a press release, "27 is both relentless in its intensity and arguably Cunter's fastest and most crushing record to date. Prepare yourself for mass destruction of short, epic proportions."
27 will be available as a limited 7-inch and digital download on June 25 via New Damage Records. You can check out the straight-ahead, fuzz bass-led hardcore jam "This Throat's for Smokin'" below.
27:
1. Stay Hungry
2. This Throats for Smokin'
3. After School, You're Dead
4. ADHD
5. The Blue and White
6. There's No Place Like Home
7. Fear of Failing
