In line with its moniker, the latest segment of Exclaim! TV's Aggressive Tendencies features Salt Lake City tyrants Cult Leader.
With a recent signing to Deathwish Inc., the resultant Nothing For Us Here EP and a monstrous live show, Cult Leader are certainly standing on their own two (significantly shorter) legs since forming early last year. However, the towering thud of their music manages to be even taller than the band from which they were exhumed.
Vocalist Anthony Lucero and drummer Casey Hansen told Exclaim! about the transition from their alma mater, their signing to "a fucking awesome label," a forthcoming full-length, their two commandments and what to do when life gives you lemons.
The band's currently out on tour with Oathbreaker. Although the band crossed the border for two Canadian shows prior to meeting up with the Belgians, the remainder of their tour is (unfortunately) U.S. only.
Tour dates:
07/29 Columbia, SC - New Brookland Tavern
07/30 Orlando, FL - Backbooth
07/31 Atlanta, GA - 529
08/01 Memphis, TN - Hi Tone Cafe
08/02 Austin, TX - Red 7
08/03 Albuquerque, NM - Gasworks
08/04 Tempe, AZ - 51 West
08/05 San Diego, CA - Che Cafe
08/06 La Puente, CA - DIY Bridgetown
08/07 San Francisco, CA - Submission Art Space
If you're not lucky enough to be on vacation near one of those tour stops, check out our interview with the band while you wait for their next trip north of the border.
