Legion of Boom begins innocuously enough, with a sly synth riff that bursts into an U.N.K.L.E.-themed break beat. Its followed by "Born Too Slow, presumably the Crystal Methods attempt to repeat the success of "Busy Child. Overall, the album abounds with formulaic break beats, boring samples and hipster-friendly arrangements. "American Way features a dubious appearance by Rahzel, while "I Know Its You tests the durability of TCMs "loop button. Somewhere, a Doritos commercial is missing its soundtrack.
