Crooked Fingers Announces North American Tour, Plays Montreal and Toronto

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Aug 15, 2011

While earlier this year indie fans lit up at the announcement that Eric Bachmann was getting back together with slacker rock icons Archers of Loaf, last month's reveal that he's releasing another album as Crooked Fingers is just as exciting. With the Archers' show schedule wrapping up in September and Crooked Fingers' Breaks in the Armor set for an October 11 release, it only makes sense that the musician will hit the road with his longtime solo project.

Bachmann will be bringing his "beautifully understated, artfully phrased" new tunes out with him this fall. Along the way, he'll stop to play two Canadian clubs, Montreal's Casa del Popolo and Toronto's Drake Hotel. Check out the rest of the dates below.

While the autumn sees Bachmann focusing on Crooked Fingers, the press sheet further explains that the next year will find him bouncing between projects. Hopefully this means that not only will west coasters get a chance to see Crooked Fingers, but maybe Archers of Loaf will make their way into Canada as well. Let's keep our, uh, fingers crossed.

As previously reported, Breaks in the Armor comes out October 11 on Merge Records.
