Courtney Love Scraps New Album

BY Cam LindsayPublished May 15, 2008

It appears Courtney Love's fans (there are some still out there, apparently) will have to wait even longer to hear the second solo album from the former Mrs. Cobain.

According to online insider Digital Spy, word on the street is that Courtney has scrapped the album she was writing and recording with famed angst producer Linda Perry. Though the pair worked together on Love's 2004 solo debut, America's Sweetheart, the oft-troubled rocker instead chose to go off and write with guitarist Micko Larkin, who spent time in the short-lived but rather good UK gypsy/calypso/folk/punk band Larrikin Love.

The Spy reports that the London-based Larkin is currently holed up in an L.A. studio with Love working on the album.

While we're at it, no news has surfaced as to how or with whom Love will release the record once it's finished.
