Corona Borealis

Corona Borealis

BY Roman SokalPublished Aug 1, 2001

Corona Borealis play a very old and raw traditional style of Celtic-like music with an East Indian flavour. The instrumentation is kept to a minimum, with perhaps only one or two elements functioning enough to make an impression, before slightly off-key but charming organic sounds (like bagpipes) take over and feed the brain sounds that are tranquil and transcending in nature. No happy modern dancing beer music here, just ancient and relaxing gloom passages that sound as if they came from a time when one's life span did not physically exceed the age of 30.
