Long-running Canadian feelgood hardcore band Comeback Kid have taken a while to complete a follow-up to their 2010 LP Symptoms + Cures, most recently focusing in on the 10th anniversary of their breakthrough debut Turn it Around last year. Now, however, they've finally confirmed plans for a new album, which now has been slated with a 2014 release date.
The record is called Die Knowing, which we now know arrives March 4 via Victory Records. It marks the band's fifth proper full-length andsecond third with founding guitarist Andrew Neufeld on vocals. The LP was recorded with Kyle Black (Set Your Goals, Shai Hulud) in Burbank, CA.
According to the label, the album should mark a return to the band's melodic hardcore formula, as a statement says we "can expect the best gang vocals, half time bridges, and tastefully placed breakdowns hardcore has to offer."
Stay tuned for more details on Die Knowing as they become available. For now, check out the band's U.S. tour dates here. They kick off next month and surely will give us a taste of Die Knowing.
