Liverpool weirdos Clinic have revealed the details of their forthcoming sixth album. The quartet last released Do It! in 2008, and will follow it up with the 13-track album Bubblegum Waltz this fall.
According to a press release, the album "is a rewiring of Clinic's trademark hyped-up sound. In place of churning riffs and wired vocals is a dream state of harpsichord, dulcimers and strings. Melody and softness combine with the band's unique internal logic to produce a record of pop beauty."
Domino will release Bubblegum Waltz in the UK on October 4 and a day later in North America, with lead single "I'm Aware" dropping on September 20. For now, the band have prepared a two-minute "mega-mix" of the album that can be heard below.
