City and Colour Unveils 'Astronaut' Video
City and Colour (a.k.a. Alexisonfire's Dallas Green) has released a video for the recent single "Astronaut."
The track appears on City and Colour's upcoming studio album A Pill for Loneliness, which is due out on October 4 via Green's own Still Records.
The video was directed by Michael Maxxis, who has previously collaborated with City and Colour on videos for "Fragile Bird," "Thirst," "Lover Come Back" and "Strangers."
"I felt that Astronaut demanded epic visuals. The lyrics, vocals, and the instrumentation are all big, beautiful, and profound," Maxxis said in a statement. "Dallas shared his inspiration for the song with me, and then I went to work. This was one of those miracle productions, where somehow everything came together with just a couple days of prep. In the end this is a video I am very proud of. I think we captured the patient beauty of 'Astronaut' in a simple, poetic way."
