Childish Gambino

'Camp' (album stream)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 7, 2011

When he's not being hilarious on NBC's Community, Donald Glover has been honing his hip-hop skills under the Childish Gambino moniker. Now he's set to drop Camp, his first proper solo album, next week, but it's already streaming online.

The multi-talented 28-year-old appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon over the weekend to perform "Bonfire," but as of today (November 7), you can listen to the full album courtesy of NPR.

Gambino upholds his indie rock-rap cred, dropping rhymes about labelmates Mumford & Sons and continuing to rap about his obsession with hipster girls. Not your typical MC, he combines rapping about girls and money with obvious and honest insecurities about being made fun of as a kid to attracting haters for not being "black" enough.

The follow-up to May's untitled EP and the first commercial release from Childish Gambino, Camp will hit shelves on November 15 on Glassnote.
