Chastity Returns with New Single "Dying to Live"

Whitby, ON's Brandon Williams has returned with new Chastity material today, sharing new single "Dying to Live" through Dine Alone Records alongside a suburbia-shot music video.

As Williams puts it, the song is about "the feeling of not being able to live without someone, as though life won't start again until they're back again."

The accompanying visuals find a trio of roller skaters carving their way through residential streets at dusk, evoking a sense of end-of-summer nostalgia particular to southern Ontario.

Explaining the inspiration for the track, Williams added: "The title 'Dying to Live' was inspired by an old Zero skate video from 2002. The video had the best soundtrack. Nirvana, Slayer, Neil Young — it definitely informed my taste growing up."

"Dying to Live" marks Chastity's second single of the year following a cover of Third Eye Blind's "Losing a Whole Year." Back in June, Williams collaborated with Ellis's Linnea Siggelkow on her nothing is sacred anymore EP cut "hell."
