Sometimes an artist writes too many damn songs for their own good, and rather than swell the Pernice Brothers/Scud Mountain Boys back catalogue, Joe Pernice has released this collection of songs featuring essentially the same band, but under this Kennedy-esque moniker. It occasionally evokes an ELO meets Simon and Garfunkle feel, but Joe Pernice's tender and fragile songs always manage to hit their mark. Warning to Swedish death metal enthusiasts - may contain moments of quiet contemplation and sparse, yet tasteful instrumentation. Some people's less than shining moments still eclipse all the sewage it floats above.
