Although Cat Power doesn't have a new album to promote, she swung by Last Call with Carson Daly last night (October 7) to perform a couple of songs.
The singer also known as Chan Marshall appeared solo and performed two unaccompanied tracks: "3, 6, 9" from 2012's Sun and "Fool" from 2003's You Are Free. The former was presented as a soulful piano ballad, while the latter was a late-night dirge performed on overdriven electric guitar. The camerawork is a little artsier than your average late-night appearance, with dark lighting and overlapping images.
