Although there's certainly no shortage of emo bands cropping up these days, new ones really worth paying attention at are few and far between. The Casket Lottery is definitely one you should pay attention to. Employing odd time signatures and the tried and true quiet-loud-quiet approach to music passages, this Missouri-based trio recalls Jawbreaker, Seaweed and Jimmy Eat World, but offers enough originality and creativity to allow them to stand apart from and above the crowd.
