The follow-up to 2019's 'Pang' arrives on Valentines Day

Caroline Polachek has officially announced Desire, I Want to Turn Into You, the much-anticipated follow-up to her 2019 solo record Pang. It's arriving February 14 on Polachek's Perpetual Novice label, and alongside the announcement, she's also shared new single and opening track "Welcome to My Island."

"Welcome to My Island" was co-produced by Polachek alongside Danny L Harle, Jim-E Stack and Olivia Rodrigo collaborator Dan Nigro. The song is a muscular, effervescent pop song that opens with some serious vocal acrobatics and features Polachek singing the album's title in the chorus.

The full tracklist is being kept under wraps, but last year's "Bunny Is a Rider," and this year's "Billions" (which landed on our Best Songs of 2022 list) and "Sunset" will be featured on Desire, I Want to Turn into You alongside "Welcome to My Island."
