Caribou Launches 'Suddenly' Remix Series with Morgan Geist's "Never Come Back"

Hear the seven-minute banger now

Caribou may have delayed his tour, but he's still finding ways to promote his excellent new album, Suddenly. Canadian electronic songwriter Dan Snaith has now launched a remix series with a Morgan Geist rework of "Never Come Back."

Geist doesn't divert too far from the song's warm, pop-friendly hooks, but he adds an extra club-friendly pulse. The whole thing runs more than seven minutes in length, making it perfect for living room dance parties.

Snaith said in a statement:

Morgan's been a close friend and a musical inspiration for a long time now and I've tried to get him to do a remix before without success — he seldom does them — so when he got in touch and asked to remix a track from Suddenly I jumped at the chance. I'm glad I did because the remix is a thing of pure joy. I would much rather that the first place you got to hear this in a club, but for now I hope it has you all dancing at home.

Hear the track below. A press release tantalizingly promises, "More remixes will follow…" Stay tuned for more.

Caribou's tour dates have been postponed until October. Read Exclaim!'s recent cover story interview with Snaith here.
