Cardinals Pride

'Those People Will Never Die' (EP stream)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Sep 1, 2015

Quebec metalcore squad Cardinals Pride are nearly ready to reveal their new EP Those People Will Never Die, but before it officially lands later this week, Exclaim! is giving you an early listen to the whole thing.

The band previously teased the forthcoming release with the single "Refracted," and the fierce growls and heavy riffs from that song continue throughout the rest of the set. The six-piece band described the aforementioned single as "one of the heaviest songs we've ever written," though there's nothing light about the tracks that accompany it on the new EP.

Tracks like "I'm Alive" and "Boundaries" offer up melodic guitar work but deliver an onslaught of violent percussion and throat-damaging screams. The energy, aggression and nuanced noise remain in tact all the way through closer "Centuries Apart," and you can listen to the complete collection of new tunes below.

Those People Will Never Die is out on September 4 via New Damage Records, but you can scroll past the band's upcoming tour dates to hear it right now.
