Meet New Damage Records' latest signing: Quebec metalcore band Cardinals Pride. They've got an EP called Those People will Never Die coming out on September 4, and they've unveiled a lyric video for the track "Refracted" in the meantime.
The song is a punishing blast of a ultra-heavy riffs and larynx-punishing, medically inadvisable growls. There are also some melodic vocal moments and a surprisingly tuneful, arena-geared guitar solo. The defiant words are brought to life by the accompanying lyric video, which is a fairly simple affair with a couple of still background photos and some subtle, retro-style effects.
