Car Seat Headrest have announced the cancellation of their West Coast tour dates and pulled out of the When We Were Young Festival in light of bandleader Will Toledo's struggles to "regain" his heath.

He took to Twitter today to share the news, writing:

Hi all,

After another month of struggling to regain my health, I am currently forced to face the fact that my body lacks the basic levels of functionality necessary to leave the house most days, let alone embark on a tour. As a result, we are unfortunately forced to pull out of the When We Were Young festival dates, and cancel our upcoming California tour. Refunds for our headlining dates will be available at your point of purchase. Stay safe, everyone.

Will

Later this month, the band were scheduled to play CA shows in Pioneertown, Los Angeles, San Diego and Santa Ana, as well as four days of the inaugural When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas — which Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba recently claimed announced its lineup before the bands had agreed to play.

Car Seat Headrest are the latest in the ongoing alarming flurry of tours being cancelled due to health challenges, including Craig Finn, Regina Spektor and Rage Against the Machine.
