One of the many things you could note at a Cancer Bats show is that vocalist Liam Cormier truly has one hell of a head of hair to bang with. That won't be the case for much longer, though, as the metal vocalist has announced he'll be shaving his head for charity next month, with goals to raise money for cancer research.
A press release explains that Cormier started his "Head Shave for Cancer" campaign last night (January 11) at the beginning of the band's European tour. From now until February 22, the act will be accepting donations at concerts and online to give to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and Research Centre, a Toronto-based research and care facility looking to "conquer cancer in our lifetime."
A video for the campaign has Cormier explaining: "If everyone donates just a few dollars, we can make a huge impact."
The group's current tour closes in Helsinki, Finland, on February 21, with Cormier due to have his head shaved at Toronto's Town Barber the next day.
