Further proving festival season is most definitely here, the long-running Calgary Folk Music Festival has revealed its 2016 lineup. And like always, there are a lot of great acts heading to Cowtown this year for the annual event.

Taking place at Prince's Island Park on July 21 to 24, a variety of artists will be playing the big event. These include Cat Power, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, the Tallest Man on Earth, the New Pornographers, Jose Gonzalez, the Cave Singers, Fortunate Ones, Kathleen Edwards, Whitehorse, Lord Huron, Bry Webb, Jerusalem In My Heart, the Weather Station, and the Sadies, among many others.

Mixed in there, festgoers can also expect some homegrown Alberta talent, such as Braids, Corb Lund, the Dudes and Michael Bernard Fitzgerald.
