Calgary was recently devastated by floods, and while this resulted in the cancellation of much of Sled Island, the music community is bouncing back with a benefit concert with proceeds going towards flood relief.
The concert takes place today (June 26) at Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association's weekly farmers market. There, the organization will be accepting donations for Hillhurst Sunnyside flood victims.
Performers include Calgary acts like Chad VanGaalen, Samantha Savage Smith, Lab Coast, HexRay and Feel Alright, along with Haligonian outfit Cousins. See the schedule below. In addition to music, the event will include food trucks and the market's usual vendors.
